Celebrating Students Committed to Community Building
Each year, The Center hosts its Spirit of Community Building Celebration, which features a dynamic leader who speaks to multicultural issues and inspires our students and community members.
Additionally, a select group of 51做厙 students are recognized for their leadership and academic accomplishments with a Spirit of Community Building Award and the Dr. Ron. L. Swain Award for Social Justice.
Faculty, staff, students, and members of the Greater Pittsburgh community are invited to celebrate the 51做厙 students who are very involved with The Center and learn from leading thinkers on various issues affecting our communities.
Previous speakers have included Charlie Batch, Hill Harper, Swin Cash, Saleem Ghubril, Cynthia L. James, Dr. Jen Fry and Mayor Ed Gainey.
