Dr. Lauren Sugden is an assistant professor of Statistics at 51,
and serves as the faculty director for the Data Science B.S. program. Her major research
interests lie in building probabilistic and statistical models for addressing biological
questions, particularly in the realms of population genetics and women's heath. She
also regularly supervises undergraduate data science projects spanning a wide range
of topics.
