Biography

Garrett Law is currently Principal Horn of the Erie Philharmonic and a freelance musician in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Garrett spent 6 years as Fourth Horn of the Omaha Symphony and 4 years as Associate Principal/Second Horn of the South Dakota Symphony. Garrett has also performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Nashville Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra, Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, West Virginia Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, Youngstown Symphony, Arkansas Symphony, Dallas Winds, and the National Repertory Orchestra. Garrett received his Masters in Horn Performance from Southern Methodist University studying with Greg Hustis and Haley Hoops, and received his Bachelors in Horn Performance from Vanderbilt University studying with Leslie Norton. Garrett currently resides in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh with his husband Doug, a trombonist in the Pittsburgh Symphony, and their two cats, Casserole and Liza Minnelli.
